Question:
I suffered from a stroke last year and I have some drooping of my left eye. I am only 46 and do not want to look this way. Can blepharoplasty help with the looks of this eye?
Answer:
If you suffered from a stroke last year and now notice that you have drooping of your eye it is likely that you will not only need an upper lid blepharoplasty to address the drooping eye, but also some form of browlift to elevate the brow from its descended position. It is likely that your stroke resulted in decreased muscle strength and tone of the forehead musculature. Elevating the brow and removing excess upper eyelid skin should take care of this problem for you.
