Question:
Is microdermabrasion similar to sandblasting? What is used for the “sand”? Does this treatment provide any longer lasting effects?
Answer:
Microdermabrasion can be like sandblasting when crystals are the mode in which the particular Microdermabrasion machine functions. We tend to use diamond tips for our Microdermabrasion which is like using very fine sand paper to remove the outermost layers of dead skin of your body. The effects of Microdermabrasion are really short term as your skin will continue to regenerate and in order to maintain the fresh appearance of your skin, the Microdermabrasion procedure will need to be repeated every six weeks.
