Question:
I wanted to have a complete face lift but now I am undecided. Would it be better to get the individual areas done, say the upper and low blepharoplasty with brow lift first? Then have a mid facelift and after that a neck lift? There seem to be so many options to chose from.
Answer:
You are correct in there are a great deal of options to choose from. It sounds like you had a complete facial evaluation and that your surgeon has suggested having a face lift along with rejuvenation of your eyes, a browlift, and a mid facelift. I do perform all of these procedures concurrently and my patients do well although the first day or two they are a bit swollen. If you are concerned with the degree and extent of all of the surgical procedures recommended to be completed at the same time, I would suggest keeping the procedures to specific areas of the face. I would perform the brow lift, upper eyelid, lower eyelid, and mid facelift surgery all at the same time. I feel that each of these procedures has an effect on each other. I would then have the face lift surgery when the other surgery has healed.
