Question:
A lot of surgeons seem to be against the use of fillers for non-surgical rhinoplasty. Why is this and are there ever any times when it’s a good option?
Answer:
I think that when non surgical rhinoplasty was first introduced, the fillers that were used for this procedure were not really appropriate fillers to be using and complications such as infection were often seen. With the newer hyaluronic acid products, non-surgical rhinoplasty is extremely safe and very well tolerated. I perform a great deal of rhinoplasty but, non-surgical rhinoplasty still has a place in my practice.
