Question:
I’m considering using an injectable filler to minimize the small lines and wrinkles developing around my eyes and mouth. A couple of my friends use Botox, but I recently heard about Dysport. What is the difference between the two?
Answer:
Botox and Dysport are excellent choices if you are concerned with the fine lines and wrinkles developing around your eyes (crow’s feet). Both Botox and Dysport have an extremely high patient satisfaction rate. The products are very safe and extremely effective. The difference between Botox and Dysport for the consumer is that Dysort has a little quicker onset of action compared to Botox and the unit dosing is different due to the slightly different chemical composition of Dysport compared to Botox. Otherwise, the effectiveness and the duration of effect is about the same for Botox and Dysport.
