Question:
I am a 56 year old female who had a mid facelift about 7 months ago. I’ve noticed some of my skin still sags around my nose, is there another alternative to help fix this problem?
Answer:
I believe that the area that you are concerned with following your facelift is the nasolabial folds. The nasolabial folds can be decreased to a certain degree during your facelift surgery, however, many surgeons, including myself, will also place autologous fat harvested from your abdomen or thighs into these nasolabial folds in order to decrease their appearance. Revising your facelift at this point would not be the approach that I would recommend. The placement of dermal fillers such as Restylane, and Perlane can be performed in the office to address these nasolabial folds. The results are immediate and the downtime is minimal.
