Question:
I’ve heard that fat grafting procedures sometimes require more than one procedure. If this is the case, how much time do you need to wait between the first and second procedure?
Answer:
Fat grafting and fat transfer procedures may require a touch up. Although the fat grafting and fat transfer techniques have improved, there is still a great deal to be learned in terms of predictable fat survival. I usually wait at least six months prior to undertaking any revision procedure to insure that the fat has either full incorporated into the face or has been resorbed (partially disappeared).
