Question:
What should I look for when looking at before and after pictures of a potential surgeon to perform my facelift?
Answer:
Your question is a good one. If I were looking at before and after photos to decide on with whom I would like my facelift performed, I would look at a few things. I would look at the positioning of the patient in the photo to make sure that the patient is not stretching their neck or holding their head in a different position so that their after photo has an unfavorable advantage. I would also look at how natural the patient looks following their facelift. Simply pulling skin tighter does not necessarily make an individual appear more youthful. You should look at the before photos and then decide if the changes that you see to the individual patients as a result of their facelift are changes that you would like to see in yourself.
