Question:
I have been planning for a facelift this past year but just lost my job. I would like a lower cost alternative. What types of non-surgical facelifts do you do?
Answer:
If you have been planning for a facelift and have consulted with a plastic surgeon for a facelift and told that you need a full facelift for optimal results, then it is likely that you need a facelift. I say this because many patients do not require full facelifts in order to significantly improve their appearance. If your problem is significant skin laxity of the neck and jowls, then you are likely going to get the best surgical results with a full facelift. If you are concerned with only some early signs of aging such as, loose jowls and some hollowness of the cheeks and eyes there are some alternatives to a facelift that will give you very good results. A mini-facelift, or MACS lift, is a very good procedure for addressing early signs of facial aging that will improve the jowl region significantly, but, the neck region less. Facial fillers can be performed in the office and by plumping up certain regions of your face you will have a much more youthful appearance. The two procedures I just mentioned are less expensive then a full facelift, have a much quicker recovery period, and if you are a suitable candidate you will be very pleased with your results.
