Question:
I have a wrinkled neck with folds of loose skin. I think a neck lift would help me tremendously. Where are the incisions located for this? How long does complete recovery take? I am 62 and in excellent health.
Answer:
The incisions that I use for a neck lift are started beneath the earlobe, behind the ear, and into the hairline behind your ear. A neck lift will help you tremendously with excess skin of your neck. The recovery from a neck lift is usually about a week. Although you will not feel poorly after your neck lift procedure, you will require some time to allow the neck skin and muscle to heal into its new tightened position. I will see you six days after surgery in order to remove the sutures that are placed, and you will likely require at least one or two other follow visits to insure that the neck lift is healing appropriately. You are always welcome to see me in the office if you should have any particular.
