Question:
I’m a male in my late 40s in desperate need of a facelift. I read about a male facelift and am curious to know how is differs from a female facelift.
Answer:
The difference between a male and female facelift is really the location of the incisions. More specifically, the location that the incisions are placed in front of the ear and in the sideburn area differ slightly between male and female facelifts. In male facelift patients it is important to place the incisions in locations that will be easily camouflaged and will not distort the hairline in the temple region or in the sideburn region. Distortion of these areas will make it difficult to make the male facelift appear natural and the scars will be visible for a prolonged period of time.
