Question:
Is otoplasty just for ears that stick out or can it fix large ears too?
Answer:
Otoplasty can be used for a variety of reasons when addressing an ear. The most common reason to perform otoplasty is for prominent ears, but, modifications to the shape and size of the ears are also made during the otoplasty procedure. The majority of individuals who present for otoplasty have some combination of prominent ears and poorly shaped ears and otoplasty is highly effective in treating these issues.
