Question :
Twice in the past few months I have had someone comment rudely on the crookedness of my nose. It looks misshapen to me and always has. I would like my nose reshaped with a simple rhinoplasty. Is there such a thing as a simple rhinoplasty or do all nose jobs have some degree of danger associated with them?
Answer :
I believe that some rhinoplasties are easier to perform than others, but, I would not say that there are any simple rhinoplasties. In fact, of all the cosmetic procedures performed, rhinoplasty is perhaps the most difficult of the surgeries to master. Your particular issue, a crooked nose, is absolutely not a simple rhinoplasty. A crooked nose is perhaps the most difficult rhinoplasty to perform as there are a number of variables and surgical steps that must be performed perfectly in order to straighten the crooked nose and to make sure it stays that way postoperatively.
