Question:
I’m 52, and I’ve been considering getting Restylane injections to help soften the crow’s feet at the corners of my eyes. I’ve heard that the injections hurt a lot, though. Does it hurt enough that I should have someone pick me up from my appointment after getting Restylane injections?
Answer:
Restylane injections are performed under local anesthesia, topical anesthesia, and at times, no anesthesia at all. The Restylane injections when performed correctly are very tolerable. The area around the corners of your eyes are very sensitive but, I use a mixture of lidocaine with the Restylane during the injections that makes the procedure very well tolerated.
