Is there anything that can be done before and after rhinoplasty surgery to minimize bruising?
Answer:
You will be given numerous instructions before and after your rhinoplasty surgery to help minimize bruising. Ceasing the use of non-steroidal anti inflammatory medications (like motrin or advil), aspirin, and natural remedies will prevent excessive bleeding which will lead to bruising. Our office prescribes both a topical and oral form of Arnica to help with bruising, and ice to the face will help prevent bruising following rhinoplasty.
