Question:
I’ve heard chin implants are often combined with rhinoplasty. When is this usually done and what is the benefit?
Answer:
Chin implants are in fact often combined with rhinoplasty. The reasons for this is that when an individual comes to see me with concerns with regards to their nose, they may not realize that their nose appears disproportionally large because of they have a relatively underprojected chin. When I look at images with the patient during their rhinoplasty consultation we can clearly see how a chin implant will help to balance out their mid face and lower face when they have their rhinoplasty. The profile image used in rhinoplasty planning is spectacular for this purpose.
