Question:
I am 35 years old female and have a different sort of problem. I have very long, wobbly earlobes. This makes wearing pierced earrings impossible because it draws attention to the lobes. Is this a problem that can be fixed? I have never heard of earlobe repair and hope that you can do it.
Answer:
Actually, I perform a great deal of earlobe repair for similar problems such as the one you are complaining of. In some patients and earlobe reduction is necessary to reduce the redundant earlobe tissue. In others, the use of either dermal fillers such as Juvederm or Restylane, or fat injections to the earlobe work very nicely to augment a deflated earlobe. Some patients require a combination of both procedures to effectively rejuvenate the earlobes.
