Question:
I am 61 years old, male and in very good health. I have used Botox for almost 5 years to erase the wrinkles on my forehead. It works wonderfully but I think I am ready for a more permanent solution. My hair is receding and I wonder if a browlift will leave a noticeable scar because of the hair loss in this area.
Answer:
Botox and Dysport are excellent products for the treatment of forehead wrinkles. A more permanent solution, such as a browlift, will diminish the wrinkles and elevate the brow if your surgeon feels that it has fallen. In males the incisions for the browlift procedure have to be placed in an area where male pattern baldness and visibility of the incision will not be an issue. I use a procedure for browlift in males where the incision is placed in a crease of the upper eyelid.
