Question:
I am curious about injectable fillers, mainly because I would love the treatments! What types of fillers are there? Are different fillers used for different areas of the face?
Answer:
Your questions regarding injectable fillers is a broad one however, I completely understand that you are extremely pleased with the results of your injectable filler treatments. I love performing the injections because they lead to such a high patient satisfaction rate. There are several different types if injectable fillers. I use different fillers for different regions of the face and for different purposes. I tend to favor the hyaluronic acid fillers such as, Restylane, Perlane and Juvederm. The choice of injectable filler will depend upon several issues related to the features of the face and the location of injection. Longer acting injectable fillers with large particle size such as Perlane I prefer to use when injecting deep tissue such as the cheeks and nasolabial folds. Smaller particle size fillers such as Restylane and Juvederm are used for more superficial injections like the lips, forehead, eyes, and the nasolabial folds among other regions.
