Question:
I am terrified of needles, especially the really long and thick ones. So that I can mentally prepare, when I have my Dysport injections how long and what gauge are the needles?
Answer:
You are certainly not the only one who has presented to my practice with a fear of needles. The good news is that the needles that I use to inject Dysport and Botox are extremely small and very short so psychologically, they are very easy to tolerate. For those patients who are truly needle averse, we can use either a topical numbing cream or ice to numb the area prior to your Botox or Dysport injections.
