Question:
I love very high, pronounced cheekbones. Of course I was not blessed with them! I would like cheek implants. Are these implants inserted through an incision in the oral cavity? How do you prevent them from shifting? Will I look good instantly or will there be too much swelling to tell?
Answer:
Cheek implants can provide the patient with very dramatic results. The cheek implants are inserted through the oral cavity. I use an external cotton bolster to stabilize the implant in the precise tissue pocket and location where the implant is placed. You will likely have swelling following cheek implant placement, but, this should resolve in a little over a week.
