Question:
I’m 27 and looking to have a nose job to fix my nostrils. The nostrils themselves are not wide, they’re actually really small, and it’s just the side of the nostrils that are wide. Is this fairly common and how is it fixed?
Answer:
If your nostrils are small, I would advise against having a nose job procedure to thin the sides of your nostrils. I have seen the result of efforts by other surgeons to thin the nostrils by removing fat and cartilage, and the results have been displeasing. I would likely have to see you in formal consultation for rhinoplasty before I could give you a good answer on how to address your particular concerns with regards to the appearance of your nose.
