Question:
I’m a fairly young-looking 58 year old. I’m pretty happy with my overall appearance except for my neck which has been getting a bit saggy looking over the past year. What are my options for improving this?
Answer:
Improving the appearance of your neck will depend upon several different factors. If all that you have is some mild skin laxity and redundant fat, you may be a good candidate for liposuction or laser liposuction of the neck. Removing some of the fat of the neck with liposuction will improve the contour of your neck quite nicely. Laser liposuction will also help to tighten the skin of the neck creating even more contour improvement to the neck. If you have significantly more changes to your neck than just a little sagging, you may require more intense surgical intervention that would be used to address the skin, fat, and muscles of the neck which are all likely contributing to the aging appearance of your neck.
