Question:
I’m in my late 70’s and would really like blepharoplasty surgery. Am I too old?
Answer:
I do not feel that you are too old for blepharoplasty in your late 70’s. Many people undergo blepharoplasty in their 70’s for therapeutic reasons so I see no reason why it should not be performed for cosmetic purposes if that is what you are interested in having. Special consideration, especially in relation to the lower lids, needs to be given in blepharoplasty patients who exhibit significant lower lid laxity, which is common in older patients.
