Question:
I had otoplasty surgery a few days ago. One of my ears is bleeding nonstop, not a lot but it’s still not stopping. Is this normal or should I be concerned?
Answer:
I would expect the bleeding to have subsided a day or so after your otoplasty surgery. I normally keep a compression dressing on the ears after otoplasty surgery in order to maintain the newly created shape and position of the ears. I would suggest calling your surgeon so that they can assess the status of your ears and make sure there are no issues taking place that need to be addressed from the otoplasty surgery more emergently.
