Question:
I’ve had a few consults with plastic surgeons to decide on a treatment to refresh my face (I’m a 51 year old woman), and I’ve now settled on a brow lift. I’m generally healthy, but I do have low blood pressure. Are there any precautions I’ll need to take to ensure that my low blood pressure doesn’t cause problems during my brow lift?
Answer:
As a 51 year old female with low blood pressure you are an ideal candidate for a browlift or any other facial rejuvenate procedure. Our biggest concern during facelifts, browlifts, or blepharoplasties, is elevated blood pressure during or following the surgery. Elevated blood pressure leads to bleeding and bleeding leads to complications. Low blood pressure will unlikely adversely affect your surgical procedure or post-operative course.
