Question:
How do I know if I’m a candidate for a mini facelift vs. a traditional facelift?
Answer:
Your candidacy for a mini facelift versus a full facelift will depend upon the extent of aging skin, muscle, and fat that is present at the time of your consultation. The mini facelift is really designed to elevate the soft tissue of the face and addresses the aging neck significantly less. A full or traditional facelift is used when there is significant facial jowls and aging of the neck where the muscles of the neck need to be tightened and the skin of the neck is fairly redundant. I have been able to improve the appearance of the neck with the mini facelift, but this is more likely going to be the case in less aged necks.
