Question:
My cheeks have begun to get a bit flat and hollow with age and my jawline could also be refined. Are these things that can be fixed with a facelift?
Answer:
The changes to your face that you have described can in fact be corrected with a facelift, however, the sinking of your cheeks that you have noticed with age are also well addressed with autologous fat grafting to your face. I have found that the majority of my facelift patients have significantly improved outcomes when facial fat grafting is performed at the same time as the facelift is performed. Facelift surgery will address excess skin, but fat grafting to the face will help with the loss of facial volume that you have noticed as you have aged.
