Question:
Is there a noticeable difference between Pearl Fat Grafting and fat grafting? What is the difference?
Answer:
Pearl fat grafting uses large pieces of fat to augment an area of the face, most commonly the hollowed lower eyelids. I am quite familiar with micro fat grafting and perform a great deal of facial fat grafting. I transfer small amounts of fat harvested from other more plentiful areas of your body and inject hem into the face. The fat is transferred in small units injected with a very small needle. I am not familiar enough with the Pearl fat grafting procedure to replace micro fat grafting with this procedure but, from what I have seen, it is effective with significant facial hollowing, but, no more reliable or effective than micro fat grafting.
