Question:
Whenever I accidentally eat foods that contain or were produced around eggs, I break out in hives. I know that some vaccines are prepared using eggs and other animal vectors. Are any injectables prepared in a similar manner so that a patient with allergies should be worried about the side effects?
Answer:
One of the concerns with injectable dermal fillers, Botox, or Dysport is the potential for allergic reactions to occur. So far, the only allergic issues we need to be concerned with for Botox and Dsyport is a significant milk allergy. Otherwise, these products appear extremely safe to use.
