Question:
I just read about a new alternative to the brow lift that combines ultrasound imaging with focused ultrasound therapy to provide a non-invasive lifting of the skin. Will your practice be performing this soon, and is it very effective?
Answer:
Our practice will unlikely be performing ultrasound assisted brow lifts. A successful brow lift procedure requires not only elevation of the skin, but also, elevation of the muscle and lining of the bone in order to create a natural brow appearance and maintain the newly elevated position of the brow. Ultrasound assisted brow lift procedures are likely targeted only to the skin and would unlikely have much of an impact on brow rejuvenation for any long period of time. I would feel uncomfortable collecting a fee for a treatment that I was not confident in.
