Question:
I am interested in having a midface lift. I know that some incisions may be made on the inside of the upper lip. Would these incisions be visible after the procedure?
Answer:
One way of performing a midface lift is to make incisions in the temple region or around the corner of the eye in combination with an intraoral incision. I only use the intraoral incision sparingly as I feel that I am able to release the midface structures appropriately enough that the intraoral incision is obsolete. If the intraoral incision is made to perform the midface lift, then the incision will heal rapidly and inconspicuously.
